ELLEN S. MAHONEY IS THE OWNER AND FOUNDER OF “LOSS MITIGATION CONSULTING SERVICES OF MICHIGAN, LLC.  Loss Mitigation Consulting Services was officially created in January of 2008.  ElIen saw the need for real, valuable and sound advice when people are faced with serious financial choices concerning real estate financing.  Our company provides comprehensive loss mitigation advice.  Our company is not narrowly focused on only one option (ie. loan modifications).

Prior to forming this company, Ellen spent eight (8) years as a loan originator, with a small mortgage brokerage, First Financial Services, Inc.   Before joining the mortgage business, Ellen spent over four (4) years as a Sr. Paralegal to the General Counsel for Bay Harbor Company, a luxury condominium development near Petosky, MI.  Ellen was responsible for overseeing all sales for the developer/broker.  Ellen also spent over 13 years in private practice in the Real Estate Departments of major law firms.  Ellen’s work included transactions, foreclosures, loan workouts and modifications, deeds-in-lieu, etc.  Ellen is a graduate of the Syracuse University Legal Assistant Program (Graduate Certificate, 1983), the State University of New York at Potsdam (BBA, Political Science 1982), NCI Associates (real estate sales license exam passed 2003), and Mortgage Loan Officer Exam passed (State of Michigan requirement as of 2008).  Ellen has taken many advanced real estate law classes through Syracuse University, and ICLE (Real Estate Section of the MI Bar Association).  Ellen is an active member of the Birmingham Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce (Public Policy and Economic Development and Ambassador Committees), Oakland County Bar Association, the founding member of B2B Networking Group in Birmingham, and an Executive Member (Legislative Liaison) of the PTA Board, in Birmingham, MI.
